About the Hotel
Warehouse by The Stay is one of the most distinctive hotels on the Cesme Peninsula — a MICHELIN Key property that began life as a working warehouse in the 1980s and has been transformed into a 24-room adults-only design hotel without losing a single element of its industrial character. The distinctive red-brick construction, oversized shop windows and roofline immediately signal that this is not another Aegean beach resort.
The hotel is deliberately cultural in its programming — music performances, theatre productions, film screenings, culinary workshops and an extensive arts and architecture library are all part of the offer. The heated outdoor pool, lush garden with ancient olive trees and evening firepits create a setting that feels like a private members club. Smeg minibars, Harman Kardon speakers and curated vinyl collections in each room reinforce the aesthetic throughout.
Alacati surrounds the hotel — the cobblestone streets of what was once a Greek village, with their stone houses, boutiques, meyhanes and restaurants, are immediately outside. The former Greek church of the village, now a mosque, is a short walk away. In the evenings, when the streets fill with people and the restaurant terraces come alive, Warehouse by The Stay is in the absolute epicentre of it.
A note for your transfer: Alacati's narrow alleys mean that vehicles cannot always reach the hotel door directly. Your driver will bring you as close as the streets allow and will help with luggage. Journey time from Izmir Airport is approximately 60 to 70 minutes.
