About the Hotel
Nisanyan Evleri is one of the most distinctive places to stay on the Aegean coast — a collection of carefully restored traditional Ottoman houses, farm cottages, a 5-room inn and a guesthouse spread across a 2-hectare hillside property in Sirince Village, 8 kilometres above Selcuk. The marble swimming pool is fed by water from the property's own natural spring. Verandas and garden terraces on every unit overlook an extraordinary landscape of vineyards, olive groves and pine forest, with Ephesus and the Aegean coast visible in the distance on clear days.
The property was developed by the same family that put Sirince on the map as a destination in its own right, and the level of care in the restoration and design of each unit is exceptional. Breakfast and dinner are served in the dining room and gourmet garden restaurant. Concerts, cultural events and private dinners are sometimes hosted on the grounds. Walking the 2-hectare estate itself — through the gardens, the orchard, the vineyard — is a pleasure before you even think about leaving the property.
Ephesus Ancient City is 7 kilometres from Sirince, Selcuk town centre is 8 kilometres, and the House of Virgin Mary is also within easy reach by taxi. Sirince itself has its own considerable appeal — narrow stone streets, fruit wine shops, local crafts and a genuinely unhurried atmosphere that most parts of the Aegean coast have long since lost.
Your driver will be at Izmir Airport arrivals with your name. The road into Sirince is a beautiful but winding climb — plan for around 65 to 75 minutes total journey time.
